Buchanan-Lacey Architects was opened in 2018 by Stephen Buchanan-Lacey. Based in North London BLA specialises in residential developments for private clients.
As a qualified and registered architectural practice BLA offers the full scope of Architectural services. BLA are happy to provide fee proposals for any combination of services required and can explain accordingly depending on the nature of the project.
BLA are keen to help their clients through all aspects of their ‘Grand Design’ and aim to ensure no stone is left unturned with the process is as enjoyable as possible.

Stephen graduated from Lincoln School of Architecture with First class honours before joining Mitchell Berry Architects in 2008 where he became an Associate specialising in residential developments in Kensington and Chelsea.
He went on to complete his Diploma at the University of Nottingham, where he focused on the technical integration between conceptual design and construction, earning him a place on the RIBA Future Leaders series. Since completing his Part 3 at London Metropolitan University in 2012, Stephen was the Project Architect on a number of our larger projects, excelling in overall project management as well as leading the detailed design elements.
In 2018 Stephen left Mitchell Berry Architects to set up Buchanan-Lacey Architects.
In 2016 Stephen Buchanan-Lacey set-up Scaff Haus, which is a garden room space as a response to more people working from home and growing families within the ability to extend. Scaff Haus was featured on George Clarkes Amazing Spaces on Channel 4 in 2017.
